Hi Judith, and welcome back to planDisney! I made a mosaic craft at the
Contemporary Resort earlier this year, and it’s one of my favorite souvenirs. So let’s talk about what you might be able to create when you’re there in October.
The mosaic shapes can be different at each
Disney resort hotel. They change based on availability and seasonal offerings, so there’s no way to know what shapes will be available in advance. It looks like Halloween shapes, like Mickey pumpkins and bats, were offered the past couple of years at
Spanish Mosaic Art in the fall, so I’m wishing on a star that they’ll be there for your October visit!
Spanish Mosaic Art at
Coronado Springs is the only mosaic art class that you can reserve in advance on the Disney World website and through the
My Disney Experience app. Some other
Disney resort hotels offer mosaic art classes, but you can usually only find the information on the recreation schedule, typically posted in the lobby or near the pool area. Some classes are first-come, first-served, while others you can reserve a spot by visiting their
community hall or calling a phone number on the schedule.
It sounds like you’re a fan of all things spooky season at Disney World, so you’re visiting at the perfect time! I love walking down Main Street, U.S.A. in
Magic Kingdom and seeing all of the BOO-tiful pumpkin decorations. And if you’re looking for some extra seasonal fun, don’t miss snagging tickets for
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The Boo-To-You Halloween Parade and Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular always get me in the holiday spirit! And you can even catch a larger-than-life Jack Skellington in the Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show.
I also wanted to mention Minnie’s Seasonal Dining at
Hollywood & Vine. In October, you can meet Minnie and friends dressed in their Halloween best! Keep an eye on
Disney Parks Blog as they release more details about all things spooky season in the coming weeks.
I’m wishing you the most magical Halloween visit to Disney World! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome here at planDisney.
