Ahoy, Danielle!
It is a pleasure to assist you again with another great question about your upcoming vacation with Disney Cruise Line!
My family experienced a swim with dolphins excursion a few years ago, and we thought it was splashtacular! I think your daughter will enjoy either adventure, but it looks like the
Dolphin Swim at Dolphinaris-All-Inclusive offers more than just the swim and will require you to purchase the
Dolphin Observer at Dolphininaris-All-Inclusive to join her. Lunch is included for both of you as well as snorkeling and water activities such as kayaking and paddle boarding. It's only a short ride from the port (about five minutes) and you'll be off the ship for around four hours.
The Dolphin Swim in Costa Maya is just a short walk from the pier and will not require you to purchase an Observer ticket to watch your daughter enjoy an exhilarating ride being pulled on a boogie board while holding on to the dolphin's pectoral fins. This adventure only lasts around 90 minutes so you'll be able to head back to the ship or explore Costa Maya once she's finished.
Danielle, I think the deciding factor for you is if your daughter wants more than a dolphin swim. If she does, than Dolphininaris is the right choice especially if you want to enjoy some splashtacular fun with her once she's done with the dolphin portion. If that's not the case, than I think she'll be very happy with the experience in Costa Maya and you'll enjoy the convenience to the ship and the ability to watch her free of charge.
I hope this helps, Danielle. If we can assist you with more questions, please write back.
Have a magical day!
Nancy
