Hi again! Will be visiting WDW next march/april for 10days & will have the DDP (snack, qs and ts). Our two daughters will be 11 & 5 and our son 3. Want to make the most of our 1st trip with character dining, is one char meal a day too much? Recomme

Hi, Mandi!  Some families really enjoy the character dining experiences, and it is a great way to kill two birds with one stone - have a wonderful meal, plus avoid waiting in line for some of your favorite characters.

The only thing you may want to think about is that some of the character meals have similar (or in some cases, the same) characters.  My kids wouldn't mind at all, and the characters will be dressed differently, based on the theme of the restaurant, but if you think your children will become tired of seeing Mickey (perish the thought!), you may want to reconsider the plan to do daily character meals.

I want to recommend some other dining experiences that, even though you won't see characters, may be meals your family will enjoy!  At Disney's Hollywood Studios, you'll find two fun experienes with the Sci Fi Dine In and the 50s Prime Time Cafe.  At the Sci Fi, you'll dine in "cars" at a drive in movie theater, where you watch clips of old B-movies.  The Prime Time Cafe has you dining in "mom's" kitchen, where you may find even the grown ups get in trouble for not eating their vegetables!

'Ohana, located in the Polynesian Resort, is an all you care to eat meal served family style.  The meat comes right from the open fire pit in the center of the restaurant, and if you time it correctly, you may be able to enjoy the Wishes Fireworks display from the Magic Kingdom or see the Electric Water Pageant.

My girls (ages 7, 11, and 21) also really love the Hollywood Brown Derby.  I didn't think they would find it as appealing as I do, but they love looking at the celebrity caricatures all around the room.

    I hope this helps!
