Hi again! trying to plan for our 60 days out for dining etc do you know how far in advance extended evening hours are released? if they wont be before the 60 days do the parks usually have set days? and do all parks have the extended evening hours Thanks!!

    Hiya Gina!

Welcome BACK to planDisney! How lovely you have returned to ask another question about an upcoming Disney holiday. I love that you trust us to provide you with answers and recommendations. I am happy to help you with an answer about Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, a benefit for Guests staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort, Disney Deluxe Villa Resort, or other select hotels.

When I first started planning my family’s Walt Disney World vacations, I would scoop up dining reservations without considering the theme park we would visit that day. I quickly realized that we saved ourselves a lot of time in transit if we could plan our advance dining reservations to correspond with where we planned to spend the day or evening. It sounds like you are trying to do exactly that; let the Extended Evening Theme Park Hours help you plan park days and therefore your dining reservations. It is a great strategy!

The Extended Evening Hours are released around 60 days in advance, so you might not be able to see the exact schedule as you begin to book your advance dining reservations, since you can book those 60 days in advance for the length of your stay (up to 10 days). As of right now, EPCOT typically has Extended Evening Hours on Mondays, while Magic Kingdom Park holds them on Wednesdays. I have only seen these two parks offer Extended Evening Hours. You can check the Theme Park Hours and Events Calendar for the weeks before you arrive. Hopefully, the schedule will stay consistent during your visit.

I hope this information helps you put the final sprinkles of pixie dust on your magical Walt Disney World holiday this summer. You’ve got a friend in me, Gina, in all of us here at planDisney. Please stop by if we can answer any more of your questions.

    Happy Planning!
