Hi Sarah!
I can relate to the Disney Dining Plan (DDP) advanced planning strategizing! One of my favorite parts of planning a Disney vacation is planning my dining. You're right that it's difficult to compare an all-you-care-to-eat buffet price with an a la carte menu.
As a general rule, if I'm planning to maximize my DDP for the best value, I prefer to use my DDP credits for dinner rather than lunch. Therefore, if you are comparing dining at Garden Grill for lunch or dinner at Teppan Edo, using your dining plan for dinner may offer you the maximum value.
Of course it depends on what you order at Teppan Edo to fully understand the cost variance, but they have a great menu, available on the
Disney website. You can view the full
menu, complete with prices, on the site. Therefore, you can plan what you may order based on your preferences and determine if that would offer you maximum value. You can also find the
Garden Grill menu and prices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a price range listed and the lower price is for breakfast, mid-point is for lunch and the high range is for dinner.
Magically,
Stacy
