    Hello again! I have three children, 11,8,4. Which water park would be a better choice for them? Is one more kid friendly than the other? Thank you!!

    Hi Tara!

    My family has spent many days at both Disney's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and have found both water parks to be very kid-friendly. We started taking our twins to Blizzard Beach when they were two-years-old and have visited most every summer since.                                                                                                                                                               
    Disney's Blizzard Beach is our favorite water park for its unique theming, exciting waterslides and Ski Patrol Training Camp, a fun area designed for school-age children and tweens. Ski Patrol Training Camp features a really cool zip line and floating iceberg course that you cross while grabbing hold of a suspended cargo net overhead. My younger three could spend hours in this section alone. I also prefer the family raft ride, Teamboat Springs, at Disney's Blizzard Beach. Although there are definitely thrilling waterslides at Blizzard Beach, there are also fun water attractions that do not have a minimum height requirement.

    At Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, my children love to "body surf" in the Surf Pool. That said, I would be very hesitant to let my children go into the deep water in the Surf Pool if they weren't strong swimmers. Inner tubes are not allowed in the Surf Pool, whereas they are allowed in Melt-Away Bay at Disney's Blizzard Beach. Melt-Away Bay is a much tamer wave pool, in my personal opinion.
