Hi Adriano,
In the words of Pocahontas, your vacation to the
Walt Disney World Resort is, "Just around the riverbend!" I can only imagine that you have a very excited little girl around your house (and some pretty excited parents, too, I bet!) Your trip will be here before you know it, and you and your family are going to have a BLAST!
My number one tip for dressing for the theme parks during the winter months is to wear layers. It should warm up during the daytime, and you'll be quite comfortable with a short-sleeved shirt, but the mornings and evenings can get a little chilly. I like to have a sweatshirt - and sometimes even jeans - for everyone. We either bring a separate backpack, which we can store in a
locker when we're not using, or have everyone just tie their sweatshirt around their waist. I
have been there, too, when we wanted warming things like a coat, hat, or gloves, so definitely keep your eye on the weather forecast as your trip approaches. I don't think you'll need true winter gear for the bulk of your vacation, but if there's a day or two where it feels like Elsa has cast her spell over central Florida, you'll be glad to have something to keep you warm. I'd also encourage you to pack a poncho for each of you. Afternoon rain showers are not uncommon, so it's nice to be prepared so that a little rain doesn't run your fun. Perhaps the most important thing to consider, though, is footwear. You'll be doing a
lot of walking, so make sure that everyone has comfortable, supportive shoes to wear.
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Adriano, and please let us know if you have any other questions as you're preparing for your trip. I hope that you and your family have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
