Hi, Amanda!
Welcome back to the Moms Panel. Your "monstrous" Disney Parks summer vacation is just around the corner now! No doubt you're counting down the days with much anticipation!
You are most welcome to visit
Disney's Art of Animation Resort during your stay at Pop Century. It's just a short walk across the Generation Gap Bridge from Pop to Art of Animation. I highly recommend checking out Animation Hall and the amazing food court, Landscape of Flavors, for a meal (or just a snack or dessert). You may also want to stop by the Ink & Paint Shop for some souvenirs!
You may be interested to know that complimentary guided tours of Art of Animation are offered daily at 12:30 PM. The tour lasts one hour and is a great way to get an overview of the resort and its four themed sections. Be sure to confirm the tour time at the Front Desk when you arrive at Animation Hall. And don't forget your camera -- there are lots of photo opportunities!
There are actually three pools at Art of Animation: the Big Blue Pool (Finding Nemo section), Cozy Cone Pool (Cars section) and Flippin' Fins Pool (Little Mermaid section). However,
only guests of Art of Animation may actually use the pools. This policy pretty much holds true at all Disney Resorts (unless you are a Disney Vacation Club member).
If you're into Pin Trading (like my family is!), there are daily pin trading times at the Ink & Paint Shop (8:30-9:30 AM and 6:00-7:00 PM) and also in the Animation Hall lobby (5:00-5:30 PM). These times are current as of the July monthly activities schedule, but I anticipate they will remain the same for the month of August during your visit.
Wishing you a magical vacation! Please let me know if I can provide any further information or assistance prior to your departure.
