Hi again. Have been saving $ and hope to pay all meals, souviners, extra w/ cash and not put on credit card. Is it possible to give cash at check in to cover room charges, therefore using almost as a debit card?

    Hi Margaret,

I love that you have been saving for your vacation. I do the same thing so that I do not have a credit card bill to worry about when I return.

You can absolutely do this with your reservation. When you check in, simply ask to have the cash held against your charges on your Key to the World card. The front desk when clearing your account at the end of your stay will take the funds from Disney gift cards, then cash and then credit cards in this order.

When I travel and have a gift card or Disney Visa Rewards card to use to pay for my items, I go before midnight prior to check out to settle my account. Each resort has a different limit on how much can be placed on your Key to the World card prior to using the funds you have designated for payment. Values are $500, Moderates are $1000 and Deluxe are $1500. You will see the amount noted at check-in and you can cover that amount at any time.

    Have a magical day!
