Ahoy, Tracey and welcome back aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
When my family sailed to Alaska a couple of years ago, we booked on opening day so it was such an exciting day when it was finally time to board the
Disney Wonder! Looking back, the waiting flew by and I loved planning every aspect of this adventurous journey. I remember the flights being a tricky part of the puzzle so I hope you are having luck finding some good options. The Vancouver International Airport is located about 40-45 minutes from the
Port of Vancouver at Canada Place so Disney Cruise Line recommends departures no earlier than 12:00 p.m. Disney Cruise Line does offer round trip
ground transportation for purchase to and from the airport that can be booked up to three days prior to your cruise departure by calling Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532.
We were not able to get a flight until later in the afternoon so we took our time disembarking the ship and walked over to the attraction located right next door, Fly Over Canada before we headed to the airport. If your crew enjoys Soarin' Around the World at Epcot, this is a fun way to end your vacation. The attraction opens at 10:00 a.m. and tickets can be purchased onsite or online for a discount. Guests must be 40 inches tall to enjoy the flight, and there is a secure place to store luggage. It's a great way to kill a little time if you have it!
Tracey, I'm so glad you sailed back over with another excellent cruise question about your Alaskan vacation next May! Please keep us posted as you continue to plan.
Have a WONDERful day!
Nancy
