Hello again. I want to plan several Character meals. With the DDP do you just get a percentage off your meal or is the whole meal included and you just pay gratuity & taxes? Also which would be better just the dining or the deluxe dining?

Hi again Kerri! You'll be happy to know that your entire meal, meaning main course, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage is covered on the Disney Dining Plan. The whole cost, not just a percentage is covered, which makes it a great value! You do not have to pay taxes on top of your meals on the dining plan either. However, if you purchase something not included in your dining plan, like an appetizer or alcoholic beverage for example, you will have to pay the amount of the item plus applicable taxes. Gratuities are not included (except for Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom), and you can pay those by cash or credit.

The Disney Dining Plan includes one snack, one quick service and one table service per person per night stay. Included in the Deluxe Dining Plan are three meals and two snacks per person, per night, and you can use any combination of table-service and quick-service restaurants. If you're planning on dining at several signature restaurants that require two credits, or more than one table service per day, you would be better off with the deluxe plan.

Happy Dining Kerri! Write back with any other questions!
