Here I am again! Plan there is Sept 15 would like to be at extra morning hours @ AK do the Kilimanjaro first then over to Tuskar for charactor breakfast. What day is EMH & how long is the safari ride. In other words what kind of time should I look at

Jambo, Sharon! Thank you so for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Sounds like you have a great plan for your day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Taking a ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris is a great way to start the day before breakfast at Tusker House Restaurant. I looked over September’s park hours and see that Extra Magic Hour days are changing towards the end of the month. From September 1 - 19, morning Extra Magic Hours for Disney’s Animal Kingdom are set on Sunday and Wednesday. From September 20 – 30, they will be on Sunday and Friday.

The amount of time you need to allow before your breakfast Advanced Dining Reservation is going to depend on how early you get to the park. The walk from the front of the park to where Kilimanjaro Safaris is located can take you 5-10 minutes, depending on how leisurely you want to make the trek. If you arrive at Disney’s Animal Kingdom before park opening, you should have minimal wait in the stand-by line to board your safari vehicle. In our experience, the actual ride has taken 20 minutes. However, please understand that sometimes the ride can take a little longer, especially when one of the giraffes or other animals decide to linger in the ride's path! If you do arrive at the park early, I think you will be fine with a reservation around 8:45 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. If you do have extra time before your reservation, you could spend it walking the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail at the exit of Kilimanjaro Safari.

I hope you have a wild safari adventure and a delicious breakfast with Donald Duck and his pals. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
