Hi again Mom's Panel (&dads)! Almost done all ADRs (waiting for CDP). I have a silly question. With ADR for 5 and no DDP (2 adults, 11yo, 6yo, 3 yo), do we have to order 5 meals? My girls (6&3) often share meals. Does the 11 yo have to eat adult me

Hi, Sherry!  You absolutely do not have to order meals for everyone in the family.  Since my gastric bypass surgery, my husband and I, or even one of my daughters and I will share a meal.  We have also gone and ordered only appetizers or had a nice dessert.  We've never had an issue with any of the waiters at any of the restaurants for doing this.

I have also never had a problem ordering a kids meal for my slightly older than "kid" kids.  My middle daughter sometimes can't find a grown up entree she'd like, but at 12, she's technically not a kid anymore.  They've never denied her the opportunity to choose something from the kids' menu.  To be safe, just ask as soon as you are seated if there will be an issue.  They will then have the opportunity to bring you an extra children's menu, or advise if there is a problem at that particular restaurant in having an older child ordering a kids meal.

I'm sure you weren't referring to this, but just to be sure, this does not apply to buffet or family style meals.

I hope your family has an awesome visit to Walt Disney World!
