Hi again! We will there in Oct. This will be my 20 month old's 3rd Disney trip! I would like to take him to Mickey's not so scary Halloween party. He has done great in the past at the parks, but I was wondering if this would be age appropriate? Thank you!!

    Hi Lindsey,

As far as age appropriate goes, there's nothing at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party that would be inappropriate for any age. The are dance parties, trick-or-treating, extra character greetings, and a super fun parade and fireworks. I have often seen stroller-age children at MNSSHP having a great time.

However, whether you and your son will enjoy the party has a lot to with his temperament and stamina. The party starts at 7:00 p.m. When my kids were preschoolers, that was about their bedtime. If we tried to stretch much past this, they were a mess. However, I know that other children, particularly those who are good nappers, can maintain good humor even late at night.

For a very detailed discussion of this topic, you may want to head over to the independent website blog.touringplans.com. Search there for an article called "Should I Take My Young Child to Mickey's Not So Scary, Very Merry Party?"

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
