Hello again, I'm thrilled to take my vaca in Dec. to WDW to see the new Fantasy Land, but was wondering if the homes of the characters are completely gone? I have such great memories of that part of the park?

Welcome back to the DIsney Parks Moms Panel, Patricia!  How exciting you are visiting Walt Disney World this December! December is my favorite time to visit the "Most Magical Place on Earth" when all of the parks and resorts are beautifully decorated for the Holiday Season. You are going to love new Fantasyland! I would highly recommend enjoying a delicious meal at the beautiful Be Our Guest Restaurant during your trip. Unfortunately, Mickey's Toontown Fair closed in 2011 and Mickey and Minnie's Country Homes were removed to make way for the new Fantasyland attractions. I also have fond memories of touring Mickey and Minnie's Country Homes, but can honestly say that the Disney Imagineers have done a fabulous job with the new Fantasyland area of Magic Kingdom Park. I think you will be pleasantly surprised! I hope this information helps. Please don't hesitate to write me back with any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical trip, Patricia!
    Happy Planning,
