Hello again Erin,Thx for your help w/annual passes it was very helpful. However I have another ? regarding passes. If I purchase the pass should I cancel my basic DDP option? Thank you, your input is highly regarded you guys ROCK!!!:)

The answer to this depends on how much you plan to eat and whether you think you will purchase the Disney Dining Experience card (which is entirely different than the Disney Dining Plan). The basic Dining Plan is a good value if you are a lightish eater. When my family is on vacation we tend to splurge on dining. (We just got back yesterday from a week at WDW, and boy oh boy do I need to get on the treadmill!) Anyway, we like to eat at least two table service meals a day, plus dinner shows and character meals, and we like having a lot of flexibility. So, we've always chosen not to do the Dining Plan. The Dining Experience card has been a great way for a family like ours to save a lot of money on Disney dining. And because I had an annual pass anyway, we were able to do this for our family.

There is a really good explanation of the differences between all the dining options at WDW on the website allearsnet.com. Go to this site and click on the "search" button (near the top right). Search on the term "Dining Experience" and you will find informative articles.

In a nutshell, if you are light eaters and don't think you'll purchase the Dining Experience card, then you're fine sticking with the DDP. If you're going to indulge on vacation (can you hear the treadmill calling my name?) and you have an annual pass, then the DDE could be a good way to go.
