HI, me again :). We don't mind paying for a dining package for Fantasmic, however, rather than the River Belle Terrace we would prefer dining elsewhere, but we cannot sit on the ground and need to at least lean on a wall. Any suggestions? Thanks

    Welcome back to planDisney, Marilyn!

We’re always delighted to help you prepare for your visit to the Disneyland Resort, and with Disneyland’s 70th anniversary rapidly approaching, there’s a whole world of new and exciting details to discover. I’m happy to help you navigate all the magical options so your trip can be practically perfect in every way.

As you mentioned, River Belle Terrace currently offers the only Fantasmic! dining package with actual seats included. However, the other Fantasmic! dining packages do include access to reserved viewing areas. They just don’t have seating. These reserved viewing areas are available with dining packages at Café Orleans, Rancho del Zocalo, and River Belle Terrace (through a more flexible dining package option). Each of these packages includes a delicious three-course meal along with a voucher for a reserved viewing area at either the first or second performance of Fantasmic!.

While the reserved areas don’t have seats, you’ll find that some spots at the back of the viewing areas offer nearby walls where Guests can lean for a bit of support. There are a couple of things to keep in mind, though. First, because these walls are at the back of the viewing section, your view will still be magical, but it might not be quite as optimal as being closer to the riverfront. Second, using the walls to lean is ultimately up to Cast Member discretion, as they may need to keep nearby walkways clear to ensure everyone’s safety.

To help you choose the right dining package for your group, here’s a little taste of what each option serves up:

Café Orleans offers both lunch and dinner, and while a standard reservation is highly recommended, you’ll need to request the Fantasmic! Premium Dining Package when you check in with your host or server. Pairing a Monte Cristo sandwich with a side of Mickey battling the forces of evil? Sounds like a dream-worthy Disneyland evening to me!

Rancho del Zocalo serves both lunch and dinner as well, and advance reservations are strongly recommended. There’s something extra magical about savoring flavorful Mexican-Korean fusion cuisine before heading off to see Mickey’s imagination come to life in one of Disneyland’s most iconic nighttime spectaculars.

River Belle Terrace serves up brunch and dinner, giving you flexibility whether you’re planning a leisurely late-morning meal or an early evening feast. After all, Disneyland days are powered by snacks, churros, and strategically-timed meals!

Since these packages are very popular, I recommend making your advance dining reservations as soon as your reservation window opens to ensure you can secure your preferred time and location.

Here’s a Q-Tip: Arrive about an hour before showtime to snag your preferred spot within the reserved viewing area. And if you’re attending the first Fantasmic! performance of the evening, you’re in for an extra treat: once the show ends, you’ll already be in the perfect spot to enjoy the nighttime spectacular (featuring fireworks on select nights). It’s the ultimate way to wrap up a practically perfect Disneyland day!

Marilyn, I hope this helps you decide which Fantasmic! dining package is the best fit for your visit. If you have any other questions, we’d love to help you again here at planDisney!

Helping you let your imagination soar!
