Hello again Moms~ What is the best way to get from Blizzard Beach to Boardwalk? Is there an ideal location to see Illuminations on the Boardwalk? Been to WDW several times; first time Boardwalk evening for DD 7&8. Best way to return to POFQ later? Thx!

    Hi Lynne,

Thanks so much for your question!  I just love the atmosphere of Disney's BoardWalk, especially in the evening, so I think you and your daughters will really enjoy it.  One of my favorite things to do here in the evening is stroll along next to Crescent Lake and watch the street performers, play carnival games and do some shopping.

Getting to BoardWalk from Blizzard Beach is very easy.  There will be bus transportation outside the water park to the resorts.  Just take the bus to Disney's BoardWalk Inn and then head straight through the resort and down one level to the BoardWalk.

From BoardWalk, you will be able to see some parts of IllumiNations, but not all.  Since much of the spectacle happens in World Showcase Lagoon, you will not be able to see those parts of the show or hear the accompanying music, but you will be able to see the large overhead fireworks in the distance.  The best location for viewing is on the west end near Jellyrolls and looking toward ESPN Club.  There's also a bridge that offers a similar view as you head toward Disney's Swan & Dolphin hotels.  Epcot is also just a short walk away if you'd like to see the full show from inside the park.

To return to Port Orleans - French Quarter from Disney's BoardWalk Inn, the option I'd recommend is to take the bus transportation to Downtown Disney and then take your resort bus "home" from there.

I hope that helps with your vacation planning, but please let us know if we can help answer any other questions.  I truly hope you have a magical vacation!
