Well, hey howdy hey, Emily!
We are so happy that you have found planDisney to be such a great resource for planning your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation and we appreciate you stopping back by! You’ve got a friend in us and you are always welcome!
You are keen to notice that there are two options for taking in magic on Main Street U.S.A. in
Magic Kingdom Park and other spots along the parade route. I like to think of
Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade as a street party, with lots of dancing and singing. The focus is on the Characters and there are lots of them! Mirabel from Encanto, Nick and Judy from Zootopia, and so many other favorites. There are more Characters in this particular cavalcade than in any other to date!
The other parks have similar experiences but on a smaller scale. In
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, keep an eye out for the
Character Flotillas that make their way along the Discovery River. You will often hear the fun music before you see the boats. My favorite is seeing Goofy and Pluto on their way to Dino-Bash, but I also love it when Russell and Dug are making their way
up the river. Over at
Disney’s Hollywood Studios, one of my favorite Character events is the
Green Army Drum Corps. While it isn’t as robust as a cavalcade, it is fun to watch them march through Toy Story Land and entertain the crowd.
The
Electrical Water Pageant that sails around the Seven Seas Lagoon is another not-to-miss classic. The Pageant has been around for as long as I can remember and you can view it best from the Magic Kingdom area resorts.
Now, when it comes to parades, Emily, you are going to want to pull up a front-row viewing spot for the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, where you will be spellbound by the floats. Each one of them is a work of art and tells the story of the Characters riding along. The parade begins in Frontierland, makes its way in front of Cinderella Castle, and then heads straight up Main Street, U.S.A. My best advice is to buy some ice cream at
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor Hosted by Edy's® and then find yourself a lamp post to lean against on Main Street, U.S.A., and enjoy the magic!
Emily, the easiest way to find showtimes (which are subject to change) for each of these events is in the
My Disney Experience app. You can search for the events by name or select the pin location icon on the bottom of the screen and select Entertainment. To find these and other entertainment events in a specific park, just filter by theme park. You can also check the Times Guide available at each park entrance and many merchandise and dining locations.
You are going to have such a magically memorable vacation, Emily! I hope you will stop back by with more questions as you continue planning.
You’ve got a friend in me,
Shannon
