    Can you advise, please, what time the preferred parking area at Port Canaveral area opens in the morning to admit vehicles. Thank you very much.

    Just thinking about embarkation day puts a huge smile on my face! It's the day that the countdown is finally over, and you are ready to dive head first into your vacation aboard Disney Cruise Line.

    My family has driven to the cruise terminal at Port Canaveral many times and have always found it to be smooth and seamless. On our last few cruises, the parking area has opened up around 10:00 a.m. There will be a couple of checkpoints as you enter, so you'll want to have IDs in hand for security and the cast members to look over. Luggage can be dropped at the curb along with any family members who wish to go ahead and proceed through security. The porters will take your tagged luggage curbside, and you won't see it again until it is delivered outside your stateroom door later on in the afternoon. The preferred lot is not far so you'll be able to join them in the terminal in no time! All family members must be present to check-in with a cast member.
