Welcome aboard, Norman! I'm glad to hear your family is excited to set sail with
Disney Cruise Line soon, and that you already have some pirate gear ready for the big
Pirate Night onboard!
It's a great idea to save as much space in your suitcase as possible, and Disney does allow guests to mail a box ahead of time to meet them in their stateroom. You didn't mention which ship you're sailing on or which port you'll be leaving from, so I can't give you a specific address to mail your package. However, if you call the agents at Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532, they can give you more details for your specific sailing.
There are some basic rules, however. Boxes must be no larger than 12x12x12, and must not contain any food or drink, even powdered drinks or formula, or any other
prohibited items. You must tape a packing slip on the outside of the box detailing the contents. They ask that guests write their name, sail date, ship, and stateroom number on the outside of the box as well, and that packages must arrive by 3:00 the day prior to sailing, or 3:00 on Friday for any weekend departures. Please get any up-to-the-minute details about your exact port of call's rules for packages when you speak with the agents at Disney Cruise Line. I'd suggest making sure the package arrives by three days ahead of your sailing, just to ensure a timely arrival.
I hope those details help as you continue getting ready to head out on the high seas with Captain Mickey and his crew, Norman!
