Advice for first Disney trip with a 2.5-year-old and 8-month-old? Double stroller or single plus baby carrier? Are they too young for the water parks? Will one of us always have to wait with the baby or can she go on anything?

    Hi Emily,

What a fun vacation you have planned with your two children at the Walt Disney World Resort! I remember traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort when my daughters were little. It was such a special time!

You will definitely want a double stroller. Walt Disney World is huge and there is a lot of walking. We travelled to Walt Disney World when my niece was six and nephew was 10 months. We originally had a single stroller and immediately called the rental company to have a double delivered. I would still bring the baby carrier for the bus rides to and from your resort as strollers must be collapsed on the bus.

As for the water parks, Blizzard Beach is the place to go at this age. Tike's Peak is designed for preschoolers. However, many of the pools at the resorts are amazing and offer a great alternative to heading to another park.

All attractions will list restrictions at the entrance. As long as there is no height restriction, your baby can ride. If there is a restriction, rider switch is available.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
    Beth
