We're going to Adventureland Tues 1/9 and Disneyland Weds 1/10. I just realized that there are no fireworks on the evening of Tues 1/9 at Adventureland... is there any way to see the ones at Disneyland if we don't have Park Hopper tickets?

    Hi there, Rachel!

Welcome to planDisney, it's nice to have you here! Nighttime spectaculars bring such an amazing vibe to the theme parks at the Disneyland Resort. However, during some seasons those beautiful shows take a break so that elements can be refurbished and the entertainment isn't at the whim of unpredictable winter weather. January is usually one of those times, but I still love visiting during this mellow time of year!

Taking a look at the Entertainment Schedule during your visit I see that there is no nighttime entertainment currently scheduled for Disney California Adventure Park. Over at Disneyland Park guests will get to see Mickey's Mix Magic with Projections, which is a fun high-energy show best viewed from Main Street, U.S.A. or in front of "it's a small world" so that you can see all the fun projections!

Because Mickey's Mix Magic isn't currently showing "with fireworks" on the schedule for your dates I don't think any of the elements will be able to be seen well outside the park. But you'll be able to enjoy it when you visit Disneyland Park on the second day of your trip!

There are lots of other delightful things to do at Disney California Adventure Park after the sun goes down. First, make sure you are in Radiator Springs a few minutes before the official time of sunset for the day so you can see all the neon turn on! There will also be Disney PhotoPass Photographers with tripods to help you capture some amazing photos. Once it's really dark you should go and ride the Incredicoaster, even if you've already been on it during the day. It's totally wicked at night! I love exploring Avengers Campus in the evenings as well, the lighting is amazing and you can stop at Pym Test Kitchen for a snack or a drink to end the day.

Have a fabulous visit to the parks, Rachel!

    Keep moving forward!
