What are the advantages of staying in a concierge room? Is a dining plan needed? We are trying to decide between the Beach club resort and the Animal Kingdom. Are concierge levels basically the same?

Hi Bill!  Greetings from a fellow New Yorker!  Concierge is a wonderful way to feel pampered and relaxed during a Walt Disney World vacation.  All deluxe resorts offer concierge, and they are all similar, with some resorts offering slight variations.  Once booked, you are assigned a staff member who will assist you with the remainder of your vacation planning, be it dining reservations, or show tickets.  With concierge services, you are offered continental breakfast, snacks during lunch, hors d'oeuvres and wine during dinner hours, and dessert for an after-dinner follow up.  Although these small meals and snacks are offered, they do not take the place of a regular meal.  So it might be best to invest in a dining plan option, or pay out of pocket for those meals that you will be having.
The independent website,Allears.net, has a great note on concierge service at Walt Disney World.  I highly recommend you check it out.
Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Malanie, New York

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
