Bonjour, Yvonne!
It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you to planDisney today! You’ve asked a question about one of my favorite things to do on a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, so I would be happy to help you navigate the process of making advanced dining reservations for your upcoming trip.
Guests of Disney Resorts Collection hotels can make dining reservations for the length of their stay (up to 10 days)
up to 60 days in advance of their check-in date. All other Guests can make dining reservations up to 60 days in advance. You can easily
make dining reservations via the Walt Disney World Resort website or in your My Disney Experience mobile app starting at 6:00 a.m. EST when your 60-day window opens up. You will be required to input a
valid credit or debit card number to complete the reservation process and act as a placeholder for your reservation, but your card will not be charged unless you do not show up for your dining reservation or cancel your reservation in the allotted cancellation period provided at the time of booking and in the confirmation email. Please remember that valid theme park admission and a
Theme Park Reservation are required in order to dine at locations inside the theme parks.
To make a dining reservation on the
Walt Disney World Resort website, hover your cursor over “Things to Do” and select “Make Reservations” under “Dining” on the drop-down menu. You will be able to select a date, party size, and meal time on the following webpage. When you see a reservation time that works for you, select it and walk through the remaining steps to complete the booking. Alternatively, you can search for a specific restaurant at the top of the homepage and click “Check for Availability” on that restaurant’s webpage to search for dining reservations at only that location.
In your
My Disney Experience mobile app, click the plus sign at the bottom of the homepage and select “Check Dining Availability” from the options that appear. Input your desired party size, date, and time to search for available dining reservations. Select the option that works for you and complete the remaining steps to finish booking your reservation. Like the Walt Disney World Resort website, you can also search for a specific restaurant and click on “Reserve Dining” on its page to search for times at only that location.
I hope this information proves useful, Yvonne. Know you are always welcome to be our guest and put our service to the test again here at planDisney if you need further clarification or think of more questions before your magical getaway.
Until next time,
Alyssa
