Welcome to planDisney, Kya! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today. You're so right to double-check occupancy rules now that your little one is three! At Walt Disney World, children over the age of 2 count toward room occupancy, so that does make a difference in which accommodations are available for your group. But don't worry, there are still some great options for your party of 6 adults and one Mouseketeer.
One route is definitely the
2-Bedroom Villa, as you mentioned, which can sleep your entire party and gives you plenty of space to spread out. Plus, a full kitchen and washer and dryer, which can be a huge bonus with a little one in tow. It's a great option if you're looking for comfort and convenience in one shared space, especially at resorts like
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort or
Disney's BoardWalk Villas.
That said, if a villa isn't exactly what you're looking for, you might consider booking two rooms instead, especially at a
Value Resort like
Disney's Pop Century Resort, or a
Moderate Resort like
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Both are super fun, family-friendly, and give you access to great amenities.
Booking two rooms allows you to comfortably fit your party without needing one of the larger suites. And with a request for connecting rooms, the front desk team will do their best to place you together. Just be sure to make that request when you book or call to add it to your reservation.
You can browse options and compare prices online through the Walt Disney World website, or if you'd rather talk through the details with someone,
just give Disney Resort Hotel Reservations a call! A Cast Member can help you explore all your options and find the setup that works best for your group.
No matter where you land, you're in for a magical stay!
