We (adults) are going to WDW the first week in December. What days of the week are best for each park: EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and the Magic Kingdom? Thanks.

Hiya, Diane! Thanks for stopping by and visiting us again. We're happy you're here!

One of my favorite parts of planning my vacations to Walt Disney World Resort is deciding which days to visit each park. What a great question! This is strongly up to personal preference and everyone you ask will likely have a different opinion. However, I'd love to walk you through my thought process when making these decisions!

First – are you attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party? This is a special event ticket that's offered on select nights throughout November and December at Magic Kingdom Park. If you don't have a party ticket, then you'll want to make sure that you aren't visiting Magic Kingdom Park on a party night (which is Tuesday, December 5, Thursday, December 7, and Friday, December 8 for the first week in December 2023). Since the park closes at 6:00 PM for non-party Guests, this would limit your time in the park. Additionally, I personally prefer to not visit Magic Kingdom Park or EPCOT on the weekends, since these two parks are often visited by both Guests and locals on weekends. Because of this, I tend to visit Magic Kingdom Park or EPCOT earlier in the week, right after a weekend! For me, a week might look like:

    Monday – Magic Kingdom Park
    Tuesday – EPCOT
Wednesday – Break day (to enjoy my Disney Resorts Collection hotel or visit Disney Springs)
    Thursday – Disney's Hollywood Studios
Friday – Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park

This is what works for me and my family. However, your mileage may vary! Do you have little padawans who are excited about Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge? Then you might want to visit Disney's Hollywood Studios first! Making sure that you prioritize what your travel party would like to do will be key. My best tip would be to keep an eye on the Hours and Events Calendar, especially as you get closer to your trip. This will help you to stay up-to-date on any schedule changes leading up to your vacation! For example, you'll want to know if the park you're visiting ends up opening earlier – you'll definitely want to take advantage of those morning hours, especially during the holidays. And keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog so you know everything you can expect during your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

If you have any other questions, please write to us again! Whether you have questions about advance dining reservations, navigating the My Disney Experience app, or our best tips – we're happy to help!

    Wishing you the very merriest,
    Michelle
