    Hello-2 adults and 3 teens traveling...We are arriving at the Contemporary on New Years Eve. Can we view fireworks from the resort that evening? If not, other places we can see fireworks? We don't want to go into park that night. Thank you!!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Shannon!

    What an incredible way to ring in the new yEAR!  Disney's Contemporary Resort is one of my favorite places to stay at Walt Disney World because of its incredible location right next to Magic Kingdom.  

    With Space Mountain in your backyard, you can watch the Fantasy In the Sky fireworks and nighttime spectacular, currently scheduled for New Year's Eve, right from your resort.  If your room has a theme-park view, you can watch the show on your own verandah.  Otherwise, you can see the sky light up from the resort's observation deck, just beyond the gift shops on the fourth floor concourse.  You could also take the monorail to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa to watch the fireworks from the beaches here.

    For a truly magical evening and a bird's eye view of the fireworks, wish upon a star and look for reservations at the California Grill on the rooftop of Disney's Contemporary Resort.  My family celebrated here last month and booked our meal so we could watch the fireworks from this unique viewing area.  It was fun to see the park come alive from the air!
