We’re 4 adults staying at a Disney Resort with a 2-day ticket. Which 2 Disney parks do you recommend? We love fireworks, nature and Avatar, prefer family-friendly attractions, not thrill rides. We also have 1 extra day—which park should be our 3rd choice?

    Hiya Sabri,

Welcome to planDisney and Oel ngati kameie! We are so excited that you are here today and that we get to be your guide as you plan your vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth.

One of the reasons I love visiting Walt Disney World Resort is because no matter how you like to spend your day, you will find it there. Since you mentioned you love nature and Avatar, my first recommendation for a theme park for you is without a doubt Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. There you will find Pandora – The World of Avatar (be sure also to visit it in the evening to see the full effect of the bioluminescence). You truly feel like you are on another planet amongst the floating mountains because it is so immersive. Take flight on an Ikran in Avatar Flight of Passage (it is not a slow ride and the 3D nature really does make you feel like you are taking to the skies, but it isn’t a rollercoaster) or float along in Na’vi River Journey if you prefer a more relaxed vibe. Also don’t skip out on Satu’li Canteen! Beyond Pandora, Animal Kingdom offers incredible animal experiences, and there is an abundance of gorgeous horticulture along the trails and savanna that makes you feel like you are truly a wilderness explorer. I truly believe that there is no other park like Animal Kingdom, and it sounds like a perfect fit for you and your group. For your second and third parks, I want to recommend EPCOT and Magic Kingdom. You mentioned a love of fireworks, and both EPCOT and Magic Kingdom feature some of the best. Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom is my all-time favorite show, and it is always a must-do on my list. I also recommend these two parks because they have a lot of variety in attractions. I have two toddlers, so we tend to avoid the thrill-seeking rides, and I find that those two parks provide the most opportunities for them. Magic Kingdom will give you more attractions to choose from than EPCOT, but I love EPCOT’s vibe for an adults-only trip and nature.

I hope this was helpful, Sabri. I have so much more I could share as you fine-tune your itinerary, but hopefully this gets you a good starting point. Before I let you go, I did have one other recommendation for you. If your budget allows, I suggest getting a fireworks dessert party for Magic Kingdom. This Enchanting Extra is such an incredible way to enjoy the fireworks and really makes a great moment even more special. We try to do one once a trip, and it is always a highlight! If there is anything else you need, please come back and see us. We are happy to help you plan the vacation of your dreams!

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
