2 adults and 1 kid (7) want to make droids (with a 4th watching in a carrier) at Droid Depot. It says each builder needs someone 14+ to help. Can the adult without the watcher make theirs and help the 7 y/o when needed? Or can only do 2 at a time?

Bright Suns, David! I am excited to see that you and your family will be traveling across the galaxy to Black Spire Outpost. While visiting Batuu, you wish to make an appointment for your travelers to build their own droid companions at Droid Depot

I, too, have visited Black Spire Outpost’s industrial depot to find some junk to put together my own R-series unit. Having two adults available to assist your youngling will be fine, I’m sure. When arriving to Droid Depot, be sure to tell the assistants there what your plan is, just so they are aware.

Your padawan might need assistance with choosing the parts for their Astromech Unit. Once the build is underway, there are assistants available, and they give very detailed instructions on how to assemble your droid. I think your 7-year-old will have no trouble following along.

Be sure to make an advance reservation for this experience on the Droid Depot website. A credit card is required to hold your reservation, but you can pay differently once you are there, should you choose. I was pleasantly surprised that they took my Disney Gift Card for payment of my R2-QT.

Once your droids are complete, you can carry them around Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and they will interact with some of the things in the landscape. Or, should you require shipping from Batuu to your home planet, this can also be taken care of at Droid Depot.

Have an out of this world visit!

May the Force Be with You,

GAWRSH! Hiya pals! I am a Goofy-loving mom of 2, who is married to my real-life Prince Charming. My family supports my passion for all things Disney. Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
