    The adults in our group plan to go on an island tour and then do some shopping afterwards on St. Maartins. Am I allowed to place my 18 month old in babysitting while I attend the excursion, and how would they get a hold of me, if there was an emergency?

    Ahoy Sharon!
    You can use the nursery for your baby while you venture ashore in St. Maarten.  If there is an emergency while you are on the tour, the nursery will attempt to contact you via the tour operators running the excursion.  If it is while you are shopping, there is no way to reach you unless you have your cell phone on.  If you have a smartphone, you may be able to turn off your cellular data and text messaging so that you can still have your phone on in the unlikely event they try to call you.  I recommend calling your cell phone provider to check your options.
