Are adults allowed to get a birthday button or is this only for kids? I'll be celebrating my 40th bday in Nov and I don't want to miss out on anything available to me for the special event. Also, any tips for adults attending the MNSSHP?

    Hello Glenda!
Walt Disney himself is reported to have said, "That's the trouble with the world. Too many people grow up." I highly suggest that upon arrival to your resort, you tell the Cast Members at Check-In that you are celebrating your 40th birthday and request a birthday button (I also recommend bringing a roll of scotch tape to put over the sharpie marker where they write your name so it will last longer-trust me on this). If you are staying off property, go to Guest Relations and ask for your button. Your entire party can join in on the fun with "I'm Celebrating" buttons. May I also suggest a stop in Le Chapeau in the Magic Kingdom for an excellent birthday hat while you're at it?

You're hitting a real soft spot with me on your Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) request, Glenda. It's my hands-down favorite special event of the year (full disclosure: I went three times last year and had a ball)! My tips: arrive at the park at 4 p.m. and gain early entrance into the Magic Kingdom-you'll have three extra hours to have fun riding your favorite attractions before the party starts. Bring some sort of backpack if you plan on trick or treating (I love a simple drawstring backpack)-you can tote your candy around and still have your hands free while wandering around the Magic Kingdom. Glenda, if you're like me and have a sweet tooth, grab a map to see what special goodies are being offered around the park. I highly recommend watching both the parade (stake out your spot about 30 minutes early if you want a good seat) and my favorite fireworks display, Happy HalloWishes.

    Glenda, enjoy your birthday celebration!

    Best (Hallo)Wishes,
    Amy B.
