Welcome aboard, Karen! Because
Disney Cruise Line creates so many opportunities for magical memories onboard the ship and in its fabulous ports of call, you will certainly want to have as many photos as possible to commemorate this experience! I just know your whole family is in for such a great adventure!
Because
Disney Cruise Line's Photography Packages are intended for one stateroom only, the best thing for you to do is to book the photography package for your son's stateroom, as most of the photos will probably be with the kids in it. Let me tell you how it works if your group is in more than one stateroom but only one stateroom purchases a photo package. Any photos that include anyone in that stateroom will be included in your photo package. For example, a photo of your son, his wife and his kids: included. Your grandkids with you and your husband: included. Your grandkids alone with Mickey Mouse at a
Character Greeting: included. A photo of just you and your husband: not included. My family and I usually book the photography package for our stateroom when we sail with grandparents, as we know that most of the photos will have the kids in them, so that is the best deal for the money. If my parents were to book the package under their stateroom, unless one of them were in each of our photos, photos of my family would not be included.
Allowing your son's family's stateroom to be the assigned stateroom on the photo package will be your best bet. If you end up finding a wonderful photo of just you and your husband, you can always simply purchase that separately as an individual photo. That is much less than purchasing two photo packages.
I hope that helps, Karen! Happy planning!
