Can I (an adult) order a kid's meal at a table service restaurant in Disney? We are not doing the dining plan, but often I don't want to eat as much as an adult meal. Will I be allowed to? Thanks!

    Hi there, Meredith!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love to discuss the amazing dining options at Walt Disney World Resort, so I'm thrilled to assist you with this question!

I've always found that the servers at Table-Service restaurants try their absolute best to ensure Guests have a magical dining experience. Although it is up to the discretion of each restaurant, I have been able to order a kids' menu item when I have asked. I often like to order an appetizer or a dessert, so I will sometimes order a kids' entree so that I can try more menu selections without filling up so quickly. At Table-Service restaurants featuring a buffet or an all-you-care-to-enjoy menu, you will be charged adult pricing. That being said, I would definitely recommend asking your server if you find a Table-Service restaurant in which you prefer something from the kids' menu. I find it never hurts to ask.

Guests may begin making dining reservations for Table-Service restaurants 180 days in advance by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463, by going online or via My Disney Experience mobile app.

I hope this information is helpful, Meredith. Let us know if you have any new questions or would like dining recommendations. We would love to assist you further in planning a magical trip!
