Bonny,
When you visit
Walt Disney World, there is no question that dining is part of the adventure and excitement! There can be entertainment, exploration, and some deliciousness in every meal, snack, and treat.
However, table service dining can take up a lot of time, especially at lunch, which cuts into how much time you have to enjoy the parks. So, my family follows this strategy. We schedule a dining reservation for dinner every evening, and in addition we pick 1, or at most 2 breakfast reservations for the entire trip.
Why?
To begin, lunches, while often a more affordable alternative to dinners at the same dining venues, take up a lot of that valuable park time in the middle of your day. We don't want an hour in the middle of our day eating up (excuse the pun) ride time.
Dinners are perfect for us, and likely you, because they give us an opportunity to discuss our day. While we are enjoying another great meal, we review the rides, shows, and other activities of the day. It helps us connect and share together in the joy of the trip.
As for breakfasts, we would normally not book reservations for those either. Again, they cut into park time. However, my teenagers have a few favorite venues that they insist on visiting on each trip, like
Tusker House, so we go to one of those as well.
FINAL TIPI suggest you book for your arrival night an entertaining or scenic dining reservation to kick off the magic of your vacation.
'Ohana and the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue come to mind.
