It's great to see you back here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Miranda! Canadians are known for lots of great things. Tim Horton's Doughnuts, Cheddar Cheese Soup, and Poutine are a few that come to mind. Luckily, a couple of these can easily be found at Epcot's
Le Cellier Steakhouse; however, the hard part can be obtaining a
dining reservation, as this is one of Walt Disney World's most popular restaurants.
I wish I could sprinkle you with a little birthday pixie-dust, Miranda! When I logged into my
My Disney Experience Account, I was able to get the dates to load, so perhaps it was a glitch in the system, which can get overloaded at times. When this happens to me, the first thing I do is switch servers, so if I'm using Safari, I'll try Chrome instead. Another suggestion is to try accessing the dining reservation from the
My Disney Experience Mobile App as opposed to going through the site on my laptop. If all else fails, it's best to call Disney Dining right when their phone lines open at 7:00 AM EST at (407) 939-DINE (3463).
I know how excited you are to have your special birthday meal at Le Cellier. If you're still unable to get a reservation, be persistent. I often find available times closer to my trip, when guests change their plans and
cancel to avoid paying a cancellation fee. Something else that I like to recommend is the "Reservation Finder Tool" on touringplans.com, which is a subscription-based website. You input the restaurant, date, and desired time, and if something opens up, you'll get a text. Make sure to check your phone often, as reservations are often scooped up within minutes of receiving the notification. I've gotten many "prized" reservations this way.
After dinner, Miranda, you don't want to miss the brand new Circle-Vision 360 movie,
Canada Far and Wide, eh?! You may be ready to board a plane for the Yukon when it's over!
