Hi, Jaynee! I have to admit, I am obsessively checking the website and refreshing my web page every few minutes to get the answer to this question. It's the most wonderful time of the year at
Walt Disney World, and this is my most favorite thing.
There is nothing that says Christmas spirit to me as much as the
Candlelight Processional. The orchestra is phenomenal, the choir of angelic singers is incredible, and I have yet to be disappointed by one of the celebrity narrators telling the story of the Nativity. Among the many truly wonderful holiday offerings at the
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, the Candlelight Processional is my one must see every holiday.
Dinner packages historically become available over the summer. I've seen them as early as the beginning of June and as late as almost August. I think the dinner package is the best way to go. Some of the most popular narrators (I'm looking at you, Neil Patrick Harris) and the busiest dates (closest to the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays) command quite a crowd, and even with the dinner package ticket, you'll see people lining up an hour before show time in the dinner package line to get a good seat.
My suggestion is to get a dinner reservation for the last show. The timing is perfect to leave the show and snag a spot for
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. It is the perfect "night cap" to end the holiday fun at Epcot.
Enjoy the magic of Christmas at Walt Disney World!
