We have ADR for Tommorowland Dessert Party on 8/15. We plan to be in HS that day. When should we leave to MK and best route? Also ADR @ Boma's on 8/16 @ 6:10. Enough time to go to HS to see Fantasmic? Best to take cab or bus transportation. Thanks

Hi Laura! I love how you're planning to make sure your family sees all the amazing nighttime shows at Walt Disney World!

Definitely bring your sweet tooth to the Tomorrowland Terrace dessert party! You can take a bus from Hollywood Studios to the Transportation and Ticket Center and then take the monorail or boat to the Magic Kingdom from there. (Alternatively, you could take a bus to the Contemporary Resort and then walk to the Magic Kingdom.) Since you'll need time to proceed through the ticket turnstiles and the bag check and walk to the Dessert Party, I'd plan to leave Hollywood Studios about an hour and a half before your reservation. Even with reservations, people do tend to line up to enter the Dessert Party so it's good to arrive a little early.

On the next night, Fantasmic is scheduled for 9 p.m. at Hollywood Studios. You'll usually need to be in line an hour before the show to make sure you get a seat. I think your dinner reservation at Boma is early enough that you'll be able to see Fantasmic. Since Boma is a buffet, you won't have to wait for your food to be served, so your dinner should last about an hour. Buses run directly between the Animal Kingdom Lodge and Hollywood Studios and the trip takes about 20 minutes. Although you may have to wait  15 minutes for a bus to pick you up, I wouldn't bother getting a taxi since you could easily be back at Hollywood Studios by 8 p.m., even if you have to wait a bit for the bus. (Taxis can come in handy when you're traveling from resort hotel to another, but generally aren't necessary when you're heading to and from the parks since there are direct buses.) If you didn't have enough sugar the night before at the Dessert Party, be sure to try the zebra domes at Boma -- they're yummy!

Have a magical vacation in August! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions!
