How do ADR when you do a split stay? I’d really like to split our vacation between AKL and Poly but was curious if I’ll be able to reserve at the window for my entire trip or if it’s different because I have two different hotels. Thanks!

Greetings and welcome to planDisney, Mary!

Thank you for stopping by with your very first question. It is a pleasure to help you plan an unforgettable Walt Disney World Resort adventure!

I am a big fan of split stays! I love enjoying more than one Disney Resorts Collection hotel during my visits to The Most Magical Place on Earth. Whenever I switch resorts, I feel like I am starting a new vacation again.

Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can make dining reservations for their entire length of stay (for up to a 10-night stay) up to 60 days in advance of their arrival. That is a great benefit because it allows you to make all your reservations on the same day. Please note, however, that when you have two different reservations, you can only make reservations for the entire length of stay of each separate reservation when you hit the 60-day mark. That means you will have two different windows, one for your stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and one for your stay at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

planDisney tip: One of my favorite things about split stays is that Disney even transfers your luggage between resorts. Please note it can take a few hours before your luggage arrives at the next hotel, so be sure to keep important items with you, such as documents, MagicBands, and medication.

I hope this information is helpful, Mary. Come back to visit us if you have additional questions, and have a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

    Best Disney wishes,
