Can I use credits from the Disney Dining Plan to pay for my Candlelight Processional Dining Package which opens for booking on October 17/23?

    Hi Tricia,

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! I am so excited to hear you’re planning to see the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT this year. A few years ago, I saw Jodi Benson as the celebrity narrator, and I wish we had purchased the Candlelight Processional Dining Package to avoid waiting for a seat!

Tricia, the Disney Dining Plan is available to Guests with arrivals on or after January 9, 2024. Since you’re planning for December 2023, I believe you’re talking about a Disney Dining Promo Card. The Disney Dining Promo Card is included with a current Special Offer for booking a Disney Resort hotel room and ticket package.

I reached out to a Cast Member who made a list, checked it twice, and confirmed that you can use your Disney Dining Promo Card to pay for your Candlelight Processional Dining Package meal. Now, your Disney Dining Promo Card will be emailed to you when you check in to your Disney Resort hotel. So, when you book your Dining Package, you’ll still need to enter payment information to guarantee your reservation. At the time of your meal, you can present your Disney Dining Promo Card to pay.

There is also an option for a same-day Candlelight Processional Dining Package. This option is first-come, first-served and includes a non-reservation meal at Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue, as well as reserved seating for the Candlelight Processional! You can visit Regal Eagle Smokehouse to check for same-day package availability.

Have you seen the recent announcement of the Candlelight Processional celebrity narrator lineup? The Disney Parks Blog is also the place to check if you want to know more about the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, which you’ll also have the chance to explore during your visit. I highly recommend finding the Storytellers in various pavilions of the World Showcase and listening to them share how the holidays are celebrated in their cultures! My favorite is the Mischievous Magical Barn Santa in Norway.

I hope this was helpful, Tricia. If I misunderstood your question, please reach out to me again so I can help you find the right information. I hope you have a magical holiday visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
