Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    We have ADR at 6:35 for the Sci Fi Dine in Theater on Sept 29. Fantasmic is showing at 8pm. Will we make the show? How early should we be there to wait in line? If we should up early at the restaurant, is it possible for them to seat up earlier? Thanks.

    Our boys love dining at Sci Fi and sitting inside the cool cars while enjoying the movie clips. We have found that typically a sit down meal at a Disney World restaraunt takes approximately 75-90 minutes from start to finish. Assuming of course that you are seated right at your reservation time, you will most likely not have enough time to eat and get across the park to Fantasmic before it begins.

    Then of course there is the problem of seats. Fantasmic is extremely popular and although the theater is quite large, it does fill to capacity for almost every show. Guests usually begin lining up anywhere between 60-90 minutes before the show begins to obtain a seat. You do have a few options, you could call try and move your Sci Fi reservation to an earlier time on that same day, or plan on attending the Fantasmic show on a different evening. The third option would be to call 407-939-3463 and ask if there are any openings for the Fantasmic dinner package on that particular night.

    The package includes dinner at one of three locations, Brown Derby, Hollywood and Vine and Mama Melrose (sorry no Sci Fi) and provides guests in your party a ticket for entrance into the reserved seats for Fantasmic. This voucher will allow you to avoid waiting in the entry lines for a long period of time plus the reservation times are designed to get you in and out of dinner in enough time to make it to the show.
