I have ADR to Dine w an Imagineer on 10/24 at Brown Derby. i know there is a keepsake of a plate. Is it well packed for carrying? Can I have it sent back to my room at Port Orleans Riverside? Needless to say I want to get it home in one piece.TY

    Hi Erin,

I was lucky enough to Dine with an Imagineer with several of the Moms Panelists last fall. We had a great time learning more about the behind-the-scenes happenings at Walt Disney World. Be sure to come prepared with questions because your Imagineer will try to answer anything you can think of.

The souvenir pate is a dessert-size class plate. Our Imagineer signed it, and then the plate was put back, bubble wrapped, into a special protective, sturdy cardboard box. (Which is quite light, by the way.) There's no mechanism to have the plate sent back to your room, but they did provide us with plastic shopping bags for easy carrying.

I ended up carrying both my plate and my daughter's around Hollywood Studios for several hours after our lunch. I was not being particularly careful, but the sturdy boxes kept the plates well protected. They even worked well through several plane flights later in the trip. We had no damage to the plates at any point.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
