Hi there, Jay, and a warm welcome back to planDisney! I'm delighted that you've brought this question about dining to the panel today, as I love chatting about all the Mickey-shaped snacks!
While
Character Dining is always at the top of my family's list when it comes to dining reservations, we also like to try a new restaurant each time we visit, as there are so many unique options to choose from.
Jay, I hope you're not too disappointed to hear that I've spoken with a Cast Member who has advised that Magic Kingdom will be closing at 5.30pm on 13th May 2026. This might be why you haven't seen any later reservations available for those restaurants that you've been dreaming of dining at! But don't lose hope, as you've come to the right place for top tips on other delicious dining locations that you might want to try.
If you're spending the day at
Magic Kingdom, you're only a short ferryboat ride away from some of my favourite restaurants at Walt Disney World. Last summer, my family dined at
Wailulu Bar & Grill at
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, and we can't wait to go back on our next trip. I recommend the Grilled Teriyaki Chicken Poke Bowl, and my children love the Dole Whip Sundae! The setting is stunning, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy those castle views.
Or you could hop on the monorail over to
Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and try out another of my favourite spots,
Narcoossee's, with panoramic views across Seven Seas Lagoon. Followed by a drink at
The Perch in the elegant hotel lobby... it's the perfect way to end a park day!
I hope this has helped with the plans for your upcoming trip. I'll be wishing upon a star that you get the dining reservations you've been hoping for!
Stop by and see me anytime at planDisney.
Magic and Wishes,
Abi
