We have ADR for Coral Reef on 8/20 at 6:10pm, Illum. is at 9:00pm. How long will dinner take, and will we have enough time to get a good spot to watch the show from? Is there anywhere to sit and see the show, or do you stand, and how long is it? Thanks

    Hi LouAnn!

Typically, dinner at Walt Disney World restaurants takes about an hour for our family. We don't like to rush, but rather enjoy ourselves. When planning an itinerary, I allot about 75 to 90 minutes for our meal. This way, I am not feeling pressured to rush off to the next event.

With that in mind, I think you have plenty of time to find the perfect spot to watch Illuminations after dinner!

One popular spot to sit is the patio of the Cantina de San Angel. This is a pretty popular spot, so seats do fill up quickly. If you don't mind standing, there are some excellent viewing spots in the Germany Pavilion along the railing facing the water and at the Gondola Landing in Italy.

The actual show is about 15 minutes in length.

Hope you have a wonderful meal and a great evening at Epcot!
