Hi again, Tomoe! I'm glad you're excited to set sail on
Disney Cruise Line's Halloween on the High Seas cruise on the Dream. You have very good reason to be excited because the fun starts the moment you arrive at Port Canaveral and it doesn't stop until you say a bittersweet "See Ya' Real Soon" to the Disney characters and Cast Members as you disembark that final morning. But it's all the magical moments in between that will create the most lasting memories for you and your husband!
Mickey's Mouse-querade Party will not interfere with
Pirate Night, so expect to be able to enjoy both of those special offerings on your cruise. If your Halloween costume isn't pirate-related, you'll want to pack a pirate costume too, or at least accessories, to have even more fun on Pirate Night!
I reached out to my friends at Disney Cruise Line to confirm that it is indeed allowable for guests, adults included, to wear Halloween costumes whenever they'd like on the Halloween on the High Seas Cruise. So, if you show up at Port Canaveral dressed as Cinderella and Prince Charming, they will greet you even more royally and welcome you onboard! You will receive a notice from Disney Cruise Line before you set sail with more details about this, but do know that they ask that costumes be in good taste, with nothing obstructive or offensive. You are also asked not to bring or wear props or costume accessories that resemble weapons, as that can significantly delay the boarding process.
So, have fun planning your costumes for this big cruise vacation! And don't forget your camera, because even the Disney characters will be out in their favorite Halloween attire, which makes for some great photo opportunities, Tomoe! Stop back if I can help with anything else before you set sail!
