Hi there, Michele! Welcome to planDisney.
How exciting that you'll be staying at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge! This beautiful resort feels like it is a million miles away from Central Florida. I highly recommend the breakfast buffet at
Boma - Flavors of Africa -- so many delicious options! If you're unable to secure a reservation in advance of your visit, try joining the
walk-up waitlist via the
My Disney Experience mobile app.
Michele, to be honest, I had never heard of a Guest having a second mini-refrigerator for their room, so I reached out to Guest Services at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge on your behalf. I was told that generally, only 1 refrigerator per room is allowed. You are welcome to make your request upon arrival, which would need to be approved by the Housekeeping manager. Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis depending upon the circumstances and subject to availability.
I know the
in-room refrigerators are rather small, so I am mindful of the number of perishable items I plan to store and chill just a few beverages at a time. In the past, I have brought a small collapsible cooler for extra items. If having a full-size refrigerator would make your stay better, you might consider upgrading to a 1-bedroom or larger
Deluxe Villa, which would include a kitchen fully stocked with dishes, cookware, and utensils. Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness also feature full-size refrigerators.
Family Suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort include a kitchenette with a slightly larger, counter-height mini refrigerator. The refrigerators in the Family Suites at Disney's All-Star Music Resort even have a separate freezer.
Michele, I am wishing you a wonderful vacation! Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
