Ahoy, Suzie!
I'm thrilled you'll be heading out to sea for a magical voyage with Disney Cruise Line. I'm a mom of two sailors who adore the
youth programming onboard. In fact, it's probably their most favorite thing about cruising with Disney. Kids, ages 3-17, can take advantage of this programming because it is included in your cruise fare! The Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab are geared for 3 to 12 year olds while Edge offers a space for tweens 11-14 and all the teens, ages 14-17, can hang in Vibe. The youth counselors are available in each club to make sure everyone is safe and secure. Each day the hours of operation will be listed in your cruise newsletter along with the planned programming. It's important to know the planned programming is not the only option available, so be sure to tell your kids that they are not limited to that one activity. There are a variety of things to do in all the youth spaces!
If you have a little one under the age of three, "it's a small world" nursery! is available for a nominal hourly fee. Advanced reservations are highly recommended, as space can be limited. These reservations can be made either online when your booking window opens up or once you are aboard.
Are you thinking about some fun ashore when you visit Disney Castaway Cay? Port Adventures are a great way to experience the island, but there is an additional charge for these offerings. If this is your first visit, I recommend the
Castaway Getaway Package. This 3-in-1 rental offers snorkel equipment, float or inner-tube and the bicycle rental. There is a lot to see on your first visit, so this package gives you some flexibility with the timing of your activities.
Have fun planning, Suzie!
