adding a memory maker and magic bands to our trip

    Hey there, hi there Brooke!

I’d like to extend a warm welcome from us to you! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

My family and I have started a little tradition where we get together after our Walt Disney World Resort vacations for a viewing of all the pictures the wonderful Disney PhotoPass Photographers have taken of us as we’re experiencing the magic! We make a big deal out of it with lots of Mickey-shaped snacks and it sure helps beat our post-vacation blues. Since you’re thinking about getting the Memory Maker, I suggest you grab some snacks from Main Street Confectionery to take home after your trip and make it a fun night, too!

To add the Memory Maker, you will need to open up your My Disney Experience account and go to the "My Plans" page. Once there, select the reservation and then “Change reservation.” You should be able to add the Memory Maker from there. If it does not give you the option to add the Memory Maker online, you can do so by calling and speaking with a Cast Member at (407) 939-1936.

MagicBands are my favorite accessory because not only are they magically themed, but they make your Walt Disney World Resort vacation feel convenient. With it, you are able to tap in and enter the Theme Parks as well as your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room! You can add the MagicBands to your trip by going to the "My MagicBands and Cards" page on your My Disney Experience account. There should be an option allowing you to "Get Started" on the MagicBand order if you’re staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. If you are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can purchase MagicBands from shopDisney or wait until you’re at the Theme Parks or Disney Springs to purchase them. You can add these MagicBands by opening up your My Disney Experience account, and clicking on “My MagicBands and Cards.” Once there, you will want to scroll down until you see “Link a MagicBand,” where it will allow you to add the MagicBand ID number to your account.

Brooke, if you think of any questions as you’re planning your magical vacation, your pals at planDisney are all EARS! I hope you have the most enchanting vacation!
