Hi There! I am so addicted to this panel ! I wish I would have known about this on my first trip! We are leaving in 30 days and have a 3 day park pass. Is it possible to fit in Epcot and another park in one day? DD6 wants to see the "world" at Ep

It would be difficult to do all of Epcot plus another park in one day. Epcot is really two theme parks in one: Future World, which has mostly rides and exhibits on science and technology, and World Showcase, which has simulations of 11 countries. If by "see the world" you mean that your daughter only wants to see World Showcase, you probably could combine this with part of a day at another park (most likely AK or DHS).

While there are only rides in the Mexico and Norway pavilions at the World Showcase, there are films and performers to entertain in the other lands. There are also shops selling products indigenous to the country they're in. One of my children's favorite activities is checking out the candy in the department store in the Japan pavilion. Each pavilion also has a "Kidcot FunStop" -- tables with free art projects, staffed by natives of each of the countries. It's a great way for kids to learn about another area of the world.

Each of the countries is a remarkable recreation of the original. Other than America, the two real countries that I have spent significant time in that are also represented at Epcot are England and France. I spent a college semester living in Lyons and had that incredible French smell etched into my brain -- the luscious buttery floral yum. As soon as I enter the France pavilion at Epcot I am amazed that somehow it smells exactly like the real France.

We took the kids to England this Spring and visited Hampton Court Palace outside of London. While we were there, one of my girls remarked, "This looks like Epcot." I had to explain that it was really the other way around; that part of the Epcot England was modeled after Hampton Court. And my daughter was absolutely right, the attention to detail was marvelous.

This way a long way to say that I love the World Showcase, so by all means take your daughter there if she wants to see it. But don't expect to do both halves of Epcot and another park as well.
