Lori,
You can buy your theme park
ticket package separately from your hotel reservation, if you need to. I do this often, largely when I don't know my exact daily plans. I will book my resort hotel, well before I can make flight reservations. Once I get those and know if a park day is a possibility on my arrival or departure dates, then I know how many ticket days to purchase. All you need to do is purchase your tickets online, and they should be added automatically to your My Disney Experience Account.
If, however, you have purchased your tickets elsewhere, adding them to your
My Disney Experience account is also very easy. You do that by visiting the Walt Disney World website and go to
"My Disney Experience" from the top menu, at the far right. In that drop down menu, select
"My Plans". You should see a series of circles lined up horizontally, one each for different kinds of reservations. Hover over the
"Park Tickets" circle and then click on the
"Link" button that pops up. Enter your confirmation numbers and it will add them to your plans.
BONUS TIPMake sure you have your My Disney Experience App installed on your smartphone so that all that valuable reservation info is there, right at your fingertips. Also, remember to use the
Online Check In for your Disney Resort Hotel room, so that you can make the most of that arrival day, even if your room is not yet ready.
Please feel free to
write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!
